Stone Arch Capital Website Twice Honored with Awards

By MVP Marketing + Design | November 15, 2010

Minneapolis, November 15, 2010 – MVP Marketing + Design is pleased to announce that its website for Stone Arch Capital has received dual honors in separate competitions sponsored by the International Academy of Visual Arts (IAVA). The two Silver awards recognize outstanding work by some of the best agencies, designers and creators in the US and worldwide.

MVP was first acknowledged by the Davey Awards on behalf of its website for Stone Arch Capital, a leading Midwest private equity firm based in Minneapolis, MN. The website was drawn from among a pool of 3,000-4,000 creative entries, representing the finest small firms, agencies and companies in the world. The award honors the achievements of the “Creative Davids” who derive their strength from big ideas, rather than big budgets. Subsequently, the Stone Arch Capital site was recognized by the highly competitive W3 (Web) Awards, which levels the playing field between large and smaller sized firms around the world.

The distinctive investment firm site achieved top honors based on its novel use of form and function techniques, including historic “Stone Arch Bridge” imagery and such features as rotating and interactive home page portfolio investment vignettes, inventive “Our Team” partner photography, and a user-friendly content management system.

Linda Day, IAVA executive director, said, “We were once again amazed by the high standard of excellence represented throughout the entries we received this year… winners continue to embody what the internet is all about and continue to raise the bar in Web development and design.”

In response, MVP’s President, Dick Weinrib said, “The fact that our impressive, yet understated, private equity firm website competed successfully against more complex and dynamic entrees is evidence of MVP’s ability to communicate our client’s story with a ‘less is more’ approach. Accolades to our creative team for their efforts.” Weinrib continued, “Our Stone Arch Capital win builds upon our earlier award-winning work for a number of other leading private equity and subordinated debt firms. We’re already anticipating next year’s competition in light of our new projects for other private equity firms.”

About W3 Awards:
The W3 Awards honors creative excellence on the web, and recognizes the creative and marketing professionals behind award winning Websites, Web Video and Online Marketing programs. Simply put, the W3 is the first major Web competition to be accessible to the biggest agencies, the smallest firms, and everyone in between. Small firms are as likely to win as Fortune 500 companies and international agencies.

About Davey Awards:
The Davey Awards exclusively honor the “Davids” of creativity, the finest small firms, agencies and companies in the world. David defeated the giant Goliath with a big idea and a little rock – the sort of thing small firms do each year. The annual International Davey Awards honors the achievements of the “Creative Davids” who derive their strength from big ideas, rather than big budgets. The Davey Awards is the leading awards competition specifically for smaller firms, where firms compete with their peers to win the recognition they deserve. The W3 Awards and Davey Awards are sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, and invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a “Who’s Who” of acclaimed media, advertising, and marketing firms.
