MVP Rings in the New Year—and its 35th Anniversary—with Launch of New Safe Passage for Children Website

Minneapolis, December 28, 2020 – MVP Marketing + Design, Inc., an award-winning Minneapolis Digital Agency established in 1985 serving B2B and B2C clients regionally, nationally, and globally, is pleased to announce that in a celebration of its 35th Anniversary, it has created a pro bono website on behalf of non-profit Safe Passage for Children of Minnesota. The website launch caps MVP’s earlier sponsorship of a Safe Passage Covid-19 awareness webinar series. That series, entitled Victims of Child Maltreatment Hidden by Covid-19, focused on the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on victims of child abuse and neglect.

Based in Minneapolis, Safe Passage for Children of Minnesota advocates for improvements in the state’s child protection and foster care system. Safe Passage was instrumental in increasing funding for such programs by $260 million or 60 percent, adding 14,500 Minnesota children to those who receive child protection services each year. The organization is also helping reduce systemic disparities for Black and Indigenous children.

In commemoration of MVP’s 35th year in business, MVP built on its earlier pro bono redesign of the group’s brand identity with a commitment to redesign the non-profit’s website. The Challenge: Boost outreach efforts with an improved website that would resonate with caregivers, the Minnesota State Legislature and generous donors alike.

Inspired by the organization’s mission, “To ensure that Minnesota has a child welfare system in which children are safe and reach their full potential,” MVP’s web team contributed to a cause that was in sync with MVP’s own “Most Valuable Partner” ethos.

Engaged by the smiling faces of a diverse group of Minnesota children hailing from the four corners of the globe, site visitors are guided to an informational “Call-to-Action” grid displaying What we Do, Volunteer, Resources and Donate options. Scrolling further leads to such CTAs as “Give to the Max,” Recent Events, Latest Blog, Contact and another friendly reminder to “Donate.”

MVP helped Safe Passage make the journey from a SquareSpace-style template to a redesigned and SEO-optimized WordPress website that supports the Client’s goal of a Minnesota child protection and foster care system that continuously improves the lives of children. The new site is flawlessly functional on smartphones and tablets, and rich with videos, publications and research.
