MVP Wins MarCom Award for SHOP™ Home Mortgage Site

Minneapolis, January 18, 2013 – MVP Marketing + Design, a Minneapolis-based digital marketing and communications firm, is pleased to announce its recognition at the 2012 International MarCom Awards for its excellence in website design on behalf of SHOP™ Home Mortgage. The SHOP Home Mortgage website is designed to promote and facilitate the concept of affordable home ownership.

SHOP™ (Sustainable Home Ownership Program) is a socially responsible program of the Greater Metropolitan Housing Corporation in partnership with Dayton’s Bluff Neighborhood Housing Services, the latter of which provides home financing for underserved individuals and families.

The new website features vibrant colors and inspiring imagery to engage viewers in what can otherwise be the stressful process of obtaining a home mortgage.  Built in the WordPress Open Source content management system (CMS), the site is rich in useful information, helpful resources, and offers end-user financing tools that can be easily and directly updated by the organization’s internal staff without the need for outside assistance. The site, which was designed to incorporate search engine optimization (SEO) best practices and concurrently optimized by MVP to attain high Google™ rankings, site traffic and leads has climbed to the very top of the charts in the Twin Cities marketplace.

Administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, the 2012 MarCom Awards received over 6,000 entries throughout the United States, Canada and several other countries in 2012.
