North Sky Capital:
New Investment Capital Website Lands Among the Stars

North Sky Capital is a registered investment advisor with $1.4 billion in committed capital across its various funds. Based in Minneapolis, with offices in Boston and New York, the firm identifies and invests in companies, private equity funds and infrastructure projects focused on making the world a better place.  North Sky turned to MVP for a full-featured overhaul of its passable but limited functionality website with an emphasis on finding better ways to encourage stakeholder interaction and calls-to-action. The primary challenges consisted of creating inspiring new imagery, showcasing the firm’s impact secondary and sustainable infrastructure investment strategy and highlighting such valuable content as market commentary and impact reports.

To improve upon the former site’s digital presence and reinforce the firm’s 20 years of impact investing, MVP proposed a novel way in which to communicate North Sky’s “Investments for a Better Tomorrow” theme. Employing a custom website design approach that features a combination of sophisticated UX design, eye-catching animations and customer “catchin’” CTAs (calls-to-action) and sign-ups, the site performs equally well on mobile as it does on desktop. Form and functional highlights include subtle Northern Lights videography, easily accessible market commentaries and impact reports, dynamic deal statistics, custom iconography, and MVP’s user-friendly back-end website administration capability. Collectively, these enhancements take this unique private capital firm’s digital presence to new heights.
