Ceres Global Ag Corp. adds value across agricultural, energy and industrial supply chains throughout North America. Its facilities have a grain and oilseed storage capacity of 30 million bushels and they provide supply chain services for two million tons of fertilizer, energy and industrial products.
Ceres came to MVP as a world-class logistics company in need of an outstanding website to position the company for greater success. They needed a way to get detailed and continuously-updating content to the right visitors quickly through intuitive navigation. The color scheme of their existing site was brown and beige and it used black and white imagery. Everyone agreed that it would greatly benefit from a new layout, a full-color update and a new logo that would reflect Ceres’ brand promise in 2018.
MVP revolutionized the design with bold fonts, colorful, full screen images, custom iconography, and a redesigned logo with subtlety-modernized colors and font. And an MVP standard, built in responsive design makes the site compatible with mobile devices. The content is fresh and informative and it speaks directly to each of Ceres’ target audiences.
MVP also met the technical challenge of creating a design that would handle frequently updating commodity prices. The current stats on the site refresh every ten minutes to give farmers the most accurate information possible. Additionally, the map for the Locations page is interactive, displaying a Google map with pins for each distribution hub, and gives users the ability to obtain important information about each facility including different commodity types, rail accessibility and hours.
As always, MVP developed the site in WordPress (CMS) to make it easy for Ceres employees to maintain with no programming knowledge required. The content is segmented into chunks that can change and be reordered on the page. Employees can also swap photos, videos and create new pages.
All of these elements expertly coalesce for a tailor-made site of the highest quality to reflect Ceres’ impressive market position.
