TPM

Engineering a custom precision parts website for a Minneapolis private equity portfolio company

PROJECT CHALLENGE

MiddleGround Capital (Lexington and NYC), a leading Private Equity sponsor, tapped Private Equity Branding and Design firm MVP and its MVP PortcoPro digital transformation program, to create a new brand identity for their precision plastics portfolio company, TPM (Minneapolis), and create market awareness through a new website. As a leader in precision molded components, TPM brings flexible and innovative solutions to its partners’ complex problems. The new site for the rebranded company would need to provide easy access for prospective clients to reach out for more information and services with a secure portal for requests for quotes (RFQs). TPM’s online destination would also feature an innovative logo, targeted messaging, and stunning visuals for a consistent and cohesive extension of TPM’s new brand.

PROJECT SOLUTION

After a comprehensive branding and needs analysis to establish TPM’s long-term and short-term goals and competitive benchmarks, MVP initiated work on the Client’s logo. Once approved, it was on to TPM’s custom-tailored MVP TeamMate website. TPM’s existing culture and core values shine through the selected imagery, fonts and messaging. Anticipating the needs of TPM’s target audiences, MVP developed a user-friendly site architecture that helps visitors find information fast. Engaging MVP-edited homepage video, which is based on Client-provided b-roll, and hover animation entice visitors to click through one of the targeted calls-to-action (CTAs) throughout the site.

Built on the WordPress Content Management System (CMS), the new website allows TPM employees to create new sections with content and imagery as they continue to expand. The site is optimized for many browsers and devices, including PC (Chrome™, Internet Explorer), iPad® (Safari®, Chrome™), iPhone® (Safari®, Chrome™), and Android™ phones (Chrome™), for a consistent and responsive user experience. The project also included creation of new TPM sales literature and PowerPoint deck. MVP also implemented SEO best practices to increase traffic to the new site that is sure to be a one-stop resource for many prospective TPM precision plastics molding customers.

Client Take

"We are thrilled to point people to our new site and are loving the logo. Thanks, MVP, for creating what we believe to be an industry-leading site that sets our company apart from many others in our industry."
