Roadtrek Makeover Helped IOP Gear Up for Exit
Industrial Opportunity Partners (Evanston, IL) was founded in 2005 by a group of like-minded finance and operations executives who collaborated to build a private equity firm centered on middle-market manufacturing and distribution businesses. IOP has raised $1.5 billion in committed capital from endowments, pension funds and other institutions and invested in 25+ middle-market industrial platform companies, including Roadtrek, acquired in 2011.
In 2015, IOP tapped MVP to ready Roadtrek’s site for exit. Based in Ontario, this North American RV leader in “Class B” motorhomes is now owned by Groupe Rapido, Mayenne, France. Since IOP’s exit, MVP has maintained a seven-year long most valuable partner relationship with the Roadtrek crew. A 22-variable “Build Your Own” Roadtrek configurator, which enables prospective buyers to send quote requests to up to three RV dealers, is one of more than 15 website enhancements that enabled the company to keep its thousands of loyal Roadtrekkers happily cruisin’ along.
NAMSA: New Site for a Healthcare CRO on the Go
Recognizing their need for accelerated global growth and strategic vision, NAMSA, now an ArchiMed portfolio company, commissioned MVP to revamp its website in 2019 for launch the following year.
Founded in 1967, NAMSA was the world’s first independent company to focus solely on testing medical device materials for safety. Today, NAMSA offers expert medical device testing, regulatory, reimbursement and quality consulting services, and clinical research support to aid clients at every stage in the medical device development continuum. This suite of services lowers development costs and accelerates regulatory approval and commercialization globally for medical device and in vitro diagnostics (IVD) technology sponsors.
The website overhaul, which includes visual and UX enhancements such as homepage and testimonial videos, customized icons and streamlined navigation, also includes an innovative NAMSA (FDA) Test Navigator, an e-Comm based Course Catalog and on-demand webinars. Together with MVP’s trademark WordPress CMS backend admin system, our SearchMate℠ SEO program, and an MVP-managed website hosting, maintenance and security program, the new site attracted the attention of healthcare specialist ArchiMed (Lyon, France).
Keystone Capital’s JOBS Branding and Website Take Private Equity Platform to New Heights
Keystone Capital, based in Chicago, formed JOBS in June 2019 after its initial investment in the leading commercial window cleaning and facility maintenance provider – Jobs Building Services, LLC — in Houston, TX. Keystone subsequently completed three add-on acquisitions to JOBS over the course of the next 18 months, approximately doubling the size of the business. JOBS represents another successful investment for Keystone within its Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Services platform.
MVP assisted Keystone initially by conceptualizing the new JOBS master brand strategy, which positioned each of the affiliated acquisitions—AMST, April Building Services and JOBS Services – as “A JOBS Group Company” sub-brand united by interrelated logos. MVP then integrated each of the add-ons into a new and responsive JOBS Group website employing home page slider photography, concise navigation and multiple CTAs (calls-to-action). The easy to manage website was designed and built on MVP’s customized WordPress CMS featuring a unique backend site administration system which exceeds the features and functionality of WordPress’s own out-of-the-box functionality. MVP is proud of the role it played in readying the website for Keystone’s 2021 merger with Valcourt Building Services (Valcourt), which received a growth equity investment from private investment firm Littlejohn & Co.
Integra Testing: New Test & Balance Platform Measures Up
Another Keystone Capital portfolio company, Integra Testing Services, Chicago, is a leading national provider of testing, adjusting and balancing (TAB) services to the commercial HVAC market. In addition, Integra provides other niche inspection and testing services including commissioning, water balancing, and building façade pressure testing. The platform was originally comprised of Fulton Air and Neudorfer, two well-known national companies that joined forces in January 2022 under the Integra banner, to offer more technical resources (with the strength of a combined staff of over 110), as well as additional complementary services. Since formation, Integra has become one of the largest TAB firms in the country and offers these services not only in the United States but on a worldwide basis.
Given the need for speed, Keystone asked MVP to pull out the stops for a new Integra corporate identity and custom WordPress website in just 60 days. Now with the acquisition of International Test & Balance (ITB) and Seneca Balance, Keystone has a flexible portco add-on website that more than measures up.
