Beedie Capital, a multi-strategy direct investment platform that manages the alternative investments for Beedie, one of the largest Canadian Family Offices and private companies in British Columbia, sought to revitalize its brand and web presence. The goal was to differentiate itself from other private equity firms both visually and verbally. Through this initiative, Beedie sought to energize its brand messaging and create a site with maximum visual impact.
MVP kick started its engagement by deploying its proven MVP BrandMate℠ process. The first step of which was to survey Beedie’s existing brand assets including its logo, color palette, typography, messaging, and brand descriptors. Next, MVP evaluated Beedie’s competitive landscape as well as its marketing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. MVP presented its findings to Beedie management and the companies collaborated to define key project goals and objectives, including website form and functionality requirements.
The MVP BrandMate℠ process next led to Voice of Customer interviews with 10 internal and external company stakeholders, the results of which MVP used to forge the client’s Business and Brand Positioning statements. These were ultimately incorporated into corporate brand guidelines.
Further defining Beedie’s brand and building a new custom website brought numerous benefits to the company. The comprehensive brand overhaul allowed Beedie to align its visual and verbal identity with its mission, vision and values. This synthesis resulted in authentic brand messaging that resonates with the firm’s internal and external stakeholders including staff, business partners and investors.
The custom-tailored MVP WordPress website, which features the latest trends in modern website design, including minimalism, animation and portfolio company treatment, was designed to maximize viewer engagement and minimize scrolling while providing greater flexibility, scalability and ease of content management as the company grows and evolves.
